Saskia Hendriks is currently obtaining her doctorate and medical degree at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In her research, Saskia focusses on the societal impact of medical innovation. More specifically, her thesis is about stem cell technologies that make egg cells or sperm from skin cells. These might allow future infertile couples to have their own children. Saskia is studying different stakeholders' perspectives on the potential advantages and disadvantages. Thereby, she is trying to set the stage for a responsible process of clinical implementation.
