The burned out society? Neuropsychological, social and ethical aspects of the burnout syndrome
Linda Heinemann studied psychology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germany). In 2011, she finished her doctoral thesis in cognitive neuroscience at the Institute for Medical Psychology in Frankfurt. Beside her scientific work she is working as a clinical psychologist since 2007. She completed her training in cognitive behavioral therapy in 2011 and started to practice as a licensed psychotherapist.
Her research focuses on the historical development and social framing of mental health and illness. She is especially interested in contested diagnoses such as ADHD. During her stay at the Brocher Foundation, she will look at the social and scientific framing of research on the so-called Burnout syndrome.
