The Era of Personalized Medicine: The Interaction between Patent Law and Access to Medicines in the XXI Century

Esther's research focuses on patent law, trademark law, copyright law, competition law, international trade law, law & technology and governance issues. Esther is very fascinated by the interaction between scientific, and socio-economic developments, on the one hand, and legal issues, on the other hand. Moreover, most of her publications have a strong comparative law component focusing on the US, Europe and Japan. At the Brocher Foundation, Esther has worked on a project related to the impact of patent law on the developments regarding personalized medicine.
