Bioethical Challenges on Neurogenomics -- A Buddhist Perspective

1) To explore the ethical challenges on neurogenomics which involves issues such as neuroscience, genomics and bioinformatics;

2) To discuss the Buddhist understanding of human mind and brain, and its responses to technological challenges;

3) To explicate the importance of the balance between the potentiality of neuroscience on healthcare and “neuro ethics” or “neuro-eudaimonics” ; and

4) To argue for the necessity of strengthening ethical awareness and legal regulations in medical research and experiment in China today.
