Genetic carrier testing in children: Exploration of current practice and genetic health professionals' and parents' views
1. Draft paper 1 discussing the inconsistencies in practice that I discovered between carrier testing prenatally and after birth and in the management of incidental discovery of carrier status. 2. Draft paper 2 describing parents’ self reported reactions to receiving the carrier results of their children and how this knowledge has been of use to them. 3. Contact and meet with existing and potential collaborators in Europe for future projects relating to ethical issues around genetic testing in children and other aspects of bioethics. 4. Begin planning and drafting a grant application for an early career fellowship.
