The Brocher Foundation is a Swiss private law Foundation instituted by Mr and Mrs Wilhelm and Lucette Brocher who endowed it with a vast domain. It is a private non profit making foundation in public interest. According to the Founder's will, its main task is to put a place to work and hold meetings at the disposal of researchers. This Place, the Brocher Centre was inaugurated in May 2007 and is located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Hermance, close to Geneva.

Since then the Brocher Centre has hosted more than hundred junior and senior researchers from all around the world for stays that usually range from one to six months.  The Brocher Foundation has also organised several international Symposia and workshops in its Conference Room and has implemented in 2009 a annual Brocher Summer School.
