The Emotional Power of music
This conference brings together experts from the disciplines of psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, and musicology as well as artists and performers to discuss the impact of music upon the emotions. The themes to be explored are the historical explanations of the emotional power of music, specific mechanisms of emotional effectiveness, the emotional investment of different players in the music, and music as a regulator of behaviour both in the individual and collective spheres.
