Migration, Refuge and Access to Health

Organizers:

This workshop will bring together theorists and practitioners working on the questions of migration and health. I will invite academics working on the ethical, legal and normative questions of refuge and migration, and bring them together with  representatives of the ICRC and MSF in Geneva to synthesize expertise from specialists working in the domains of health provision and human rights, as well as from those advising on policy. Such exchanges will help to assess the specific questions and challenges provision of access to health in the context of asylum and refuge raises. The workshop will be held in December 2018 and will be at the basis for an edited volume on ‘Migration, Refuge and Access to Health’ to be prepared for review in the winter of 2019.
